Description (1989) 9"x12", pastels and charcoal on vellum.

The third in a series of older drawings I made of Spock during my Star Trek fan-days. I remember this one being based off of a still from "Amok Time" where Spock retreats deep into himself in preparation for his deathly battle with Kirk over T'Pring.

Thanks so much! I still remember how much fun it was to draw him. Funnily enough all my reference shots back then were black and white and I tried to restore color. Now most of my references are in color and I leach it all out with pencils. LOLW

Thanks so much! It's quite funny because all of my reference shots at the time were black and white from an old movie episode guide, and I had to figure out how to get the color back in them...

Yeah, I love that episode as well, because it really gave us such a great glimpse into Vulcan life. I wish DC Fontana had done even more work on the show. Those episodes just rocked!
