(2007) 9"x12" Pencil on PaperWell, we've finally got a first publicity shot of Lucius from the upcoming OOTP movie, and of course I couldn't resist! A few highlights: the gloves have finally come off (does that mean Lucius has decided to fight dirty now?!) and we can spot a gorgeous serpent ring. The waistcoat they've given him this time has a wonderful shimmering snakeskin texture to it. There is a brand-new tie-pin that seems to sport a beryl supported by a snake twined around it, and we have the white shirt and sleeveless robe from GOF back in action. Of course the classic snake pins are back, too!
My one peeve: the hair! They should get the wig from COS back out of the mothballs. It had a fine drape and wave, better than the board-flat and scruffy looking thing they have used in GOF and now. I hope you think my treatment is an improvement...
Oh yes, and for the background I used a fabulous stock shot of Blickling Hall from
The gloomy sky was my invention. I wanted to foreshadow the complete shitstorm that's going to hit the house of Malfoy when OOTP is over. This is the last time we'll see our Lucius stand this proud, well-groomed and defiant... SIGH!

Love it. I really like how the position of the snake head makes it look like it's roaring out it's defiance to the storm...except that snakes don't roar...

Lucius Malfoy was amazing in OOTP. He certainly had decided to fight dirty now. And what a fighter he turned out to be! The only problem concerning the film was: Not enough screen time for Lucius!
And, oh yes, I do loooooove his hands - with or without the gloves!
I actually cried when he was being takin into captivity at the end of the film. No more Lucius Malfoy standing proud, well-groomed and defiant. Oh, it breaks the heart! Luckily it will not be forever. Now we have our lovely Lucius back - and looking just as good as always. What more could you ask for?
I love the way you made Malfoy Manor look. Just as I have always imagined it. And the darkened sky is a very nice detail!

Thank you! And I think the one thing that'll reconcile me to the last movie will be the fact that it will have to be with Lucius. Can you imagine Isaacs playing the surrender of the wand. GAH! I'll cry I think. And yes, awesome acting in OOTP. That moment when he goes down and watches the prophecy sphere disintegrate - very sad, but also just priceless!
