*Edit: Added branches. And I think that I've decided on Frost for the title.Fairy of the Winter... Moon or Frost. I haven't quite decided on the title yet (opinions are welcome). I'm going to draw in tree branches for the border, so I just left a space for them to draw in later. I couldn't quite resist making a winter painting kinda like "Fairy of the Autumn Wood." I still am not planning on doing the other seasons. But I had to do winter.

This is a wonderful sketch! If I might offer a critique, what pulls my focus is not only the larger left eye (the bottom is rounder, more wide open than the right) but the shading of the bridge of the nose, near the corner of the right eye. As it stands now, by the subtle shading and width of the eyebrows apart from each other, it makes her nose appear very broad. If that was intended, great, but that is the first thing that caught my eye. Beyond that, it's a lovely work and I look forward to seeing its progress!

Thank you! Yes, you're definately right about the nose. I already started painting it, so anything that requires being redrawn, its too late to fix. So far, though, what I did was I just didn't shade the nose quite so much on the right side. It is a little softer looking and I think looks much better. As for the eyes, I think I managed to even them out a little with the paint. You'll have to let me know when I post the final painting.

Ear, eye-design, everything!! looks amazing, the branches giving it that extra flair makes it even more beautiful.
though her mouth seems to be out of sinc with her eyes a little, they seem watching, almost apprehensive whilst her lips are sneering/smiling slightly. her one eye (her left) is slightly smaller than the other one as well is that intended? (am i just being blonde to that?)

i love the tatoos!! (*makes note to self to get me some of those*) and small lithe shoulders match with everything else.

Excellent, the face and ear especially. You do very well at giving her expression too, many artists make the faces look so blank. Love this! Can't wait for the painting... how long does it take you to do these?

Thanks! Hmm, how long it take depends on how motivated I am at the moment. lol Seriously though, drawing the sketch takes a few hours, then transferring it to watercolor papers about 15 minute, and painting it can take anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks. It is probably less if you count just the hour that I work on it, but I usually don't keep track of that.

Oh, so the painting can take a long time... depending on how much you work on it each day, right? That makes sense. Well, good luck with that. Like I said, I can't wait to see the painting, though I'm so impressed by the sketch. *sighs* I wish I could paint as well as you do. I've tried painting before, I'm terrible at it. So I just stay with sketching... though even there I'm not too good. Well, I'll be watching you!

Her face is very interesting...she looks like an actual being. Like you drew from a reference of an actual painting--but something tells me that you didn't. Good job.
