Description Some may remember seeing this before...I just decided to bring it back now. I drew this by hand (line art might be in my scraps section) and once it was scanned in, I coloured it in photoshop using my mouse and the blur tool mainly. This is my first and only example of digital art for me, since I much prefer traditional methods.

I love the tail fins! Nice color scheme as well, she's really beautiful. I think the thing I love most though is her hair. There's so much motion and color in it, absolutely gorgeous!

Yay for your only digital art ever. I really love how the tail turned out. Looks like it's really underwater, deep down, dappled with lights that still manage to break through the gloom and grace her figure. It would be neat to see if you could add some sort of b/g for it.

I can't remember if you used a reference or not (don't think so), but her shoulder/neck look really awkward and uncomfortable to me.

Nope. no reference...but the wonderful thing is that she's not human and doesn't necessarily have to move in the same ways humans do. For all I know she could have a skeletal system more like a shark...cartilage rather than bone, which would be more flexible. But you are right, it does look a little awkward...oh well.

I have thought of adding a background, but my photoshop has disappeared once again, so it's not really possible.

Ah geez. Vanishing Photoshop. *sigh*

Alternatively you could print it, colour it traditionally instead of digitaly, and rescan. But that's complicated.

I like her tail design. Kind of looks like kelp.

The pose is very interesting. It has its own unique shape in silhouette.

Thank you. I was going for that type of feeling in the tail design. I'm glad it came through as intended.
