Description
This is a self portrait done in graphite (HB and 4B) and coloured pencil on card stock. I chose to do myself in black and white as a representation of the reality part of my life and art, while the wings that represent the fantasy part of my life and art are done in colour. I wanted something simple that at the same time would represent who I am and who I strive to be as an artist well. I hope I was able to convey that with this piece.Related content

I think that worked. I like how you chose to ground yourself in black and white. And at the same time give in to flights of fantasy whenever you feel the need.

I love the elegant wing design and color provided for it, and the self portrait is simply beautiful. My only complaint is that your left arm appears to be missing. I understand if it's someplace behind you, but providing just a portion of it would help, IMO.
