This is the second in my inspirational series. I'm not sure if I should make the top corners black or not. The robe she is wearing does not extend into the corners of this pic, so I was considering making the corners black to make the white if the robe stand out more.

Anyway, this is a drawing of Mary, the mother of Jesus, as I picture her at the moment the angel told her she was going to give birth to the Messiah, and she submitted to the will of God. This drawing is supposed to reflect complete humbleness and submissiveness to God and His will, as well as incredible faith in God.

Luke 1:38 - "And Mary said, "Behold, the Handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to your word."

Details: Drafting film with sanguine Polychromos and black prismacolor (with only a touch of sky blue). The backing is going to be stark white, but the backing I currently have here is not as white. Will have to update after it's matted properly.
