Description Elijah is one of my favorite people in the Bible. He was a prophet that was used in amazing ways to do God's work. He reminds me that with God all things are possible, that God can accomplish anything through me if I let Him. God told Elijah to do something, and he did it. What an example of faith. The Bible is full of crazy stories of the miraculous things Elijah did.

My favourite story about Elijah is when King Ahab sends troops to arrest him. Two groups of soldiers are devoured by fire from heaven, and the third group decided to leave him alone and return home alive.

I think one of my favorite Elijah stories is when he was mocking the Prophets of Baal, and said to them; "maybe your god is relieving himself. That's why he doesn't respond." I thought that was so funny.

HAHAHAHAHAAHAH!!!    I KNOW!!!  That story is so hilarious, I LOVED telling it to the kids when I was teaching Sunday school.  "Maybe your god is taking a nap, yell louder!  Maybe he is on the toilet and he can't hear you!"  LOL!!!  Comedy!!!

I love all the stories about Elijah, but I think I remember one where some kids insult him and jeer at him and he calls 2 bears out of the woods and they kill the teens. I know, horrible, but that's the way it was back then and the story was just incredible.

lol!  Yeah, that was a crazy story. Hard for us to relate to in our current time...but it does have some humor if you think about it. I love the one where he makes fun of the prophets of Baal dancing around their sacrifice, and Elijah proves who the One true God really is.
