Description This is the younger of the two tigers at Marineworld and he is clearly not as adept at underwater hunting as his older companion. It must be fairly difficult for a cat to hunt with it's eyes closed and deprived of the sense of smell. It took a second submersion for the tiger to find this meager treasure.

I've never seen anything like these two shots!
There isn't even a pool for the tigers at my zoo.

I know! All this time I thought the moat around the tiger enclosure was a deterrent to keep them from trying to get to the crowd!

I was really surprised to see it! Always thought the moat around the tiger exhibits in zoos was a security measure as the tigers wouldn't cross it... boy was I wrong!

In nature, tigers are pretty dangerous animals even in water. In the Sunderval ponds they sometimes hunt fishermen at night, from the water.
This poor guy has only one pool to learn

Yes, and his fishermen...errr prey, already cut into bitesized chunks that offer little resistance! Life is rough, yanno?

It was really funny when he stood up on his hind legs in the water and shook the upper half of his body...and drenched most of us standing near by. I think he does it intentionally! Thanks for the encouragement!
