Description ...Where fantasy and reality meet
Can I say I hate my scanner? Actually, I think it's pretty much established that I do, but SERIOUSLY omgn, look at how yellow and dark everything is D:! (And no, if I up the contrast, the blue will disappear, sigh)
Anyways, I'm quite satisfied with this drawing- got the desired effect of the wolf looking like it stepped out of the frame .
And nope, I didn't forget a wing-looking-thing, he only has one.

lol, it's fine- I think that pic you did for my b-day was epic ! (and I don't think I'll ever be drawing this guy again, so he's not really an "OC" persay )

Man, you crank drawings out fast! Lovely, as usual Is there a reason for him only having one wing-tattoo-thing? Backgrounds are always hard, so don't take it too hard; practice makes prefect (and I most definitely need to practice!)

Thanks ! but lol, I'm kind of a noob at drawing wolves myself- the anatomy is all kinds of off in this pic, so I'm not sure how to teach you. To be honest, before I started this drawing, I went online googled "wolf photos" and practiced drawing them in various poses (using photos as a reference) to get a feel for their anatomy. After that, then I sat down and drew this with no reference. Maybe I can throw together a tutorial, but I'm sure there are plenty of wolf tutorials on dA already- they seem to be the popular-animal-of-choice around here . So I guess my best, and cliche, advice is to just practice, practice, practice by looking at real photos for reference. As for the fur, I don't know if you can tell, but I used like 3 different shades of green in layers of small strokes to get that texture- making sure they all go in the same direction, but I have to say once again, that my fur isn't the greatest either. Hope this helps !
