I noticed that Raditz resembled Toma a bit so I got the idea in my head that Toma had a little sister and she was Raditz's and Goku's mommy. That would definitely strengthen the bond between these two.
Back to the pic, I imagined an imaginary second panel where Bardock finally snaps and bites Toma's finger.

I really wish more Bardock and Toma stuff was out there. They were adorable. Bardock was anti-social and snarly and Toma was like a big, dumb puppy who kills things. It was GREAT!

I intend to remedy that at some point. In one of my stories (mpreg) Bardock is actually kakarott's mama (radditz lied to kakarott defend their mother's honor as a man) and that Toma is the papa.

It made a lot of sense to me. Have you ever noticed how much Radditz looks like Toma? Tall, Very broad forehead, sharp features. The widows peak is probably just something he inherited from another relative like a grandfather or something. He had Bardock's skin tone though.

I didn't really pick up on Raditz looking like Toma. I have my own ideas about saiyajin mating and breeding though which explain Raditz's lack of Bardock features. Though I'll have to compare the two now that you've mentioned it.
I can't wait to see anything with TomaxBardock coming from you. I've been a fan of the pairing for years now and despite people saying that it's "popular". It isn't really anywhere but a few Japanese sites and a few fanfics that are very hard to find and often old which means they're deleted a lot.
The whole scene where he literally died in his arms was what seals it for me. Though it seemed far less intimiate in the Japanese version than the English. Strangely enough. Bardock seemed more attached in the English dub to me.

The one on the left is Toma and one on the right is Bardock. They were both in a Dragonball Z special and appeared in a few flashbacks in the Frieza Saga. They're both pureblood saiyans.
