Bishop Briggs - River

Showing horses way always a synonym of long days; you wake up early -Often before the sun - to be able to feed and prepare your partner and yourself. You manage some particuliarly imprevisible schedule, try to guess which draw is in the class, how long it will take to get to your turn and you get to do the maths in order to get out and get just enough warm up time for you and your horse to be in the zone, but not overworked.
This event was for sure a pretty draining one, competing in Reining in the early morning light, ride on the train to transfer from the Imperials to RPS in order to show in cutting and this time in the last lights of the day. Thankfully Ale was a hardy little stallion, he was not scared of travelling or working to his best capacities - even at the end of the day he would still find ways to try cutting the staff members that had to deal with him - and it was Alexa's job to keep him from burning out.

Let's just say it was easier to put long hours into this show knowing how welcome she was at RPS - as she experienced already after the Cross country Qualifier a couple of weeks before. And of course Alexa could not skip this opportunity to stay and take a couple of days off in good company, assured to eat well, drink plenty and enjoy all the possible attention... After all, both her and Ale surely earned that vacation.
