Sentry Triarch LAV:

Overview:

The Sentry is Triarchs Light Armoured Vehicle. Designed for a variety of different battlefield roles from ferrying small bits of cargo and important people around, to getting intel on the enemy and providing fire support to Operators in the field. The Sentry is a compact, armoured and well protected little vehicle, relying on speed and stealth more than its armour the Sentry can be found all over the battlefield and off it and not just in the hands of Triarch either. Able to provide recon operations with its main use being concealed and watching with its stealth systems the Sentry is also a firm favourite for Triarch aligned mercenary groups and privateers who make use of the combat variant to give them excellent on field support.

Capabilities:

Armament The Sentry mainly relies on various installed combat packages, either an automated 20mm cannon, Heavy laser ADS or light ADS systems provide its combat ability.

Defensive measures and armour wise the Sentry is very well armoured on its front facing for an LAV however other facings lack significantly, it is designed around speed and stealth rather than armour and while it is built out of Azanium an artificial metal made by Triarch and shipped to clients it relies more on active defence than armour.

Electronic abilities wise the Sentry carries a AI capable of taking over much of the vehicles systems if an emergency is called for, it also allows rapid lock on full spectrum sensor suite detection and also an enemy lock warning system. This sophisticated array of electronics is now operated by the second crewmen. The vehicles crew consists of a driver and a gunner/electronics operator and has capacity for 3 more. Together they benefit from the electronics suite and thanks to failsafe’s and firewalls ECM can be broken through or ignored all together by the tank.

Active Camouflage: The Sentry mounts a very powerful and sophisticated active camouflage system. This system uses sound bafflers for the already very quiet electronic systems and reactor, coupled with a light bending field and the emission absorbing coat on the interior for heat and radiation the Keeper can sit in position for hours unnoticed, only at close ranges can a distinctive outline in the air be spotted, however the Sentry uses this to keep still and watch the enemy, when it is moving however the cloaking is less effective due to dirt kicked up by the engine etc.

ECM systems: The Sentry also comes with battlefield ECM systems, capable of hacking into enemy guided munitions and stopping them from locking into the tank or cutting the link so they go dud. As well as this the ECM system can screw with enemy lock on and sensor systems preventing an accurate target. In addition a laser dazzler system is installed to combat guided munitions either by destroying their guiding equipment or by dazzling their sensors so they cannot effectively target or lock on. All of which are controlled by the Sentries on board computer.

Speed wise the Sentry is a very fast vehicle, being hover and powered but its own internal cold fusion reactor means it can reach speeds of up to 90mph over any terrain, and doesn’t suffer catastrophic explosive damage if its reactors breached. Wheeled variants can also be brought which can reach up to 60Mph over ground for an LAV.

Variants:

Combat Variant: Upgrading the Sentry to have a 65mm railgun turret and a more sophisticated laser ADS system the Sentry combat variant is designed to fight alongside troops in the field, providing light fire support and engaging other light vehicles. Using its stealth system to give it an edge when setting up ambushes with a 3 round clip the combat variant can even engage light tanks and try and outflank heavier vehicles to try destroy tracks or other systems.

Recon Variant: Upgraded with a Heavy Laser ADS and Triarchs most powerful sensor and optic systems this variant lies in wait, watching and reporting enemy movements, using its stealth to hide itself. These variants are Triarchs principle vehicle recon and can even engage low flying aircraft, gunships or drones with its heavy laser ADS if nessecary.

AT Variant: Upgraded with a 6 shot Blue Thunder missile launching system this variant lies in hiding then strikes enemy tanks and vehicles with cluster top down attack munitions, which use ADS bafflers and stealth systems to help get past enemy defenses to destroy them.

Export Version: The Sentry is available for export by Triarch Industries. These come in two separate categories:

Client exports: These are to high valued clients who have long term and large contracts with Triarch, the Sentry will be exported with full technology and items implemented, allowing the client to choose to swap out what they wish to their own technology or supplement their own with Triarchs. Of course the stealth systems and other features are patented and so a slightly outdated version will be provided.

One off exports: These batch orders or exports are one off or to those who don’t currently have any large contracts. These versions are stripped down and come with the basics, armour plating and a very basic sensor stealth system. Everything else must be added to the vehicle, essentially leaving it as a shell to sell off to buyers, despite this a lot of interest has been made into this and the Sentry can be found in a few nations’ arsenals and pirate groups across Ancerious.

RULES FOR EXPORTS:

You may order a batch of Sentry LAVs from Triarch industries, this doesn’t have to be fully RPed but will count as you having dealings with them etc. paying in raw materials or technology will suffice, once this is done I will note you or send you the blank copy of the Sentry so you can customise it, you MAY then re upload it and copy and paste this descript (changing whatever needs to be changed, for instance if you change the defences specify) BUT PLEASE CREDIT ME
