Here is some shots of my Bandai RG rx78 with just the "inner frame" built up. just a pinch of weathering and detail painting(as using the stickers is a no go) as you can see this guy is on the smaller side but his detail and articulation is thru the roof. overall i am super duper impressed by the engineering that went into this model, as lots of parts are movable (and were modeled on a runner as one piece) now that i am done with his inner bits, it will be time to start adding his armor and building this guy up.As always,questions,comments and suggestions welcome.

that's one of the BIG problems with this kit. i will not use the stickers, on this scale i think they would look really freaking bad, especially the "metal" ones. i could not find a waterside sheet for this guy that was not super $$$ either(more than the freaking kit)
so ill be weathering him a bit but skipping out on decals sadly....

you can always use just some of them to ad more detail

The first few RG kits were about the same complexity. The newer ones have been even more complex and detailed... if that's possible

This is utterly insane skill! I cannot even begin to know where to start with this guy...you are amazing to be able to make this stuff, whilst I make a kinda crappy Airfix kit from the late 60s...

hahhaa thanks, but really all this kit really takes is some time and patience. i am pretty sure anyone that didn't rush it or whatever would be able to build it.
yea i am a bit spoiled and tend to try to avoid suspect kits. these kits are pretty cheap, probably the same cost if not cheaper than the airfix www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_n⦠(uk too)

hahah not to sound like a scale modeling snob or anything! some people love certain brands over than others. like alot of the time i just like working on kits i know are going to be great and just give me awesome builds. lots of the time(like this one) it can be done for the same price as bad or sub par kits, if not cheaper. like when you say i get to work on this and you have an older model, you could have this (or something as nice in any category) for cheaper than a night at the movies or whatever.

IMO, painting the RG inner frame is a bit waste of time and effort, oh wait nevermind u only paint the expose part. but have fun with this little bugger, they small but have sweat range of movements

yea now that i have built one , i wouldn't recommend painting the frame like i do on MG (or HG even). everything on thisΒ is super tight and precision, would not take much to gunk up something.Β thus me only doing light weathering and painting metal where they wanted the worthless stickers.
yea its got loads of neat detail and articulation, pretty impressive and was worth the price of admission.
