I had a lot of fun with this and made a big mess at the same time!
Soft pastels are SO MESSY! Especially when you use them on textured paper!!! I tried to keep the details loose and more implied..........the colors just happened......

LOL I hated them when I first tried them.......I was seriously like "WTF, these are the dumbest things I have ever seen in mah life" my first attempt was terrible! I ripped it to shreds.......then bought a book about them and began teaching myself......started getting the hang of them.......still a lot to learn though.....and boy are they MESSY!

I'm very neat with my art so I think the mess is my biggest issue. I don't even like loose graphite! I honestly think that's why I love my mech pencil so much because it's easy to control. Probably why I don't care for watercolors too.
