This strange breed of Ponyta was discovered in the Galar Region in a certain forest being exposed to the potent life energy of the area. This caused a sudden change in Ponyta from ancient times and created this unique breed to come into being. Using it's newly developed horn, Ponyta can absorb life energy and store it in its mane, causing its mane's color to change in color to the point of being mistaken for a rainbow-like light in the forests of Galar.

The People of Johto find these Ponyta rather cute and quite useful, as they've begun to use their unique horns to drain the excess energy of the local Mareep to make them more calm during their shearings. They can be located in the Illex Forest of Johto.
