Description A "Rail Ruiner" Western Maryland 2-10-0 number 1111 (The Four Aces) digs it's feet into the dirt as she shoves her train up Big Savage Grade around Helmstetter's curve. An Empty "Gray Train", pulled by WM 834, is headed for the Gray mine. She begins to overtake the heavy merchandise freight. The fire breathing beasts are a staple part of the "Fast Freight Line"'s locomotive fleet.

A little more digit editing, the pushing 2-10-0 and surrounding scenery is real, the gray train to the right is added in.

It was nearly impossible to run the I-2's at speeds above 40 MPH and not pleasant to be going that fast. At one time there was an order that anytime an I-2 slipped its drivers the engineer had to report the milepost location and the local track crew was sent to look for broken and damaged rails. On one occasion an engineer on the Baltimore line got mad at his slipping I-2 and allowed it to continue slipping. The track department was not amused when they went out and found 13 rails had to be replaced.

XDD Sounds like that one B&O engineer. after it started slipping, he had become so fed up with it he decided that he was gonna let it slip and continue speeding up in the hope it oversped to self-destruction so he could use a different type engine next time, if he still had a job.
