I thank you! I think Bachmann made a similar locomotive, same wheel arrangement, different class.

I thought the 2-6-6-6s were Alleghenies, not the Mallets

Yes indeed! And 734 will have another engine by her side to take trains on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad.

It seems Eastern steam is making a major comeback, considering that NS recently welcomed J611 back to the high iron for their 21st century steam program, and now CSX has alllowed for a former C&O engine to be shipped along their rails to a museum for restoration. If only we could get a full reversal of CSX's refusal to let steam excursions run on their tracks.

Which engine did CSX allow? I know 1309 had to be put on a flatcar before she could be sent to Cumberland, and years ago, the Potomac Eagle invited 734 to there railroad for an event, but CSX wouldn't even allow a dead-in-tow.

I'm talking about them allowing for 1309 to be shipped. The only engine they've even remotely allowed, was a dead C&0 614 back in January of 2011.

It's too bad CSX is being that way towards steam. They do have a business to run, but can't they keep up with all the other railroads and start a program, or at least heritage units.

They used to allow steam on their rails. Back in the 80's, before Cheesie System was merged out of existence, they allowed C&0 614 to continue operating The Cheesie Safety Express. Later, they allowed for N&W 1218 to operate a few excursions, and even borrowed Union Pacific 3985 and rebranded her as Clinichfield 616 for the 50th anniversary of a Christmas special that operated in Tenesse in 1992. Don't know what made them change their minds.

I don't know either, but I wish I knew how to change it again.
