Description
This was just to calm my nerves. I drew alien Zim about 10 times today while my friend was over. I think I am a lot better
Can't say I'm too proud though. Aahh. May as well get to my messages tomorrow morning.

Yeah I've done a couple anime Zim's in the past.. it's really hard to make Zim look like Zim in an anime disguise, mainly because he turns out pretty and slender and tall like all the other animes. Zim is unique on his own

He also comes out looking tall, and when I try to draw him as an alien in the same style, I have a hard time transitioning, as he's supposed to be really short, and I want him to be cute, not...tall...ish..thing...

Yeah as do I. Simple style-exercises, maybe once a week if not at leisure, should get your hand more fluent when trying to draw swiftly and off the top of your head - thus helping with style transition!

I have to thank one of my friends for quickly getting me started. It was a simple "I draw, you copy" thing, then I was left to rampage in attempts. I'll have to post comparisons between the beginning and now xD
It's hard sometimes to get the straight lines...being an anime artist originally I always try to add too curvy of lines xD

Ah, you have a friend in RL to draw IZ with you? (: Not too many people have that, I know I was lucky for it myself, I also have a friend who joined in with me on the fandom. That's really good though! My friend and I both sucked at the time but heck, now we're level with eachother at least! Comparisons though, I'd love to see! Then I could show you mine maybe XD
Ahh, you evolved from Anime eh? I did too, but I was really not good at anime to begin with XD I'm used to curves too. IZ does have curves though, it depends on what part of the style you want to copy. Like, as the seasons of IZ progressed, the style changed and changed, right until the Christmas episode. Depends on what part of the series you want to copy, see

Yeah, I still do anime, but IZ is easier to grasp onto (not master) in the ways of anatomy...poses and such. I find both fun, depending on how I feel I'll draw one or the other xD
Yeah, I might scan them tonight or tomorrow...tonight's gonna be SO frustrating because I'm going to two separate things that are right after another with different friends =.=;;
