Oh you captured that in spades. The lace helps, as well as those beautiful yet seemingly sad wide eyes. She looks a bit like shes going to laugh, or cry, depending on what you focus on first. I love the warmth and intimacy in these little portraits, seriously just beautiful work

Thank you! I haven't decided on an emotion before I start painting, so I'm happy you can read many emotions into her face. I think it's supposed to be in the eye of the beholder what this girl is thinking.
