The carapace measures 46 to 67 cm in length and is characterized by lacking neural plates. ๐˜‰. ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ป๐˜ถ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ด inhabited shallow coastal areas, where it possibly fed on algae, mollusks and crustaceans that it crushed with its ossified secondary palate. Although its appendicular bones are unknown, nearby elements of another species, ๐˜‰. ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ, suggest adaptations similar to that of the pignosed turtle, ๐˜Š๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜บ๐˜ด ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ค๐˜ถ๐˜ญ๐˜ฑ๐˜ต๐˜ข, and other cryptodirans from brackish waters and/or even marine environments.
