This will be a short description, or comment but oh well. It's late and I need to get to bed.

Anyway, about a month ago there was a post on the DA REsembool Rangers journal about another 'postcard' or birthday card project for the voice actor, Vic Mignogna, who voiced a variety of characters over the years but in particular voiced a character I have recently particularly enjoyed; Edward Elric. However, I have since learned that he is also playing a role in the latest Pokemon character, which is the little Pony-type character in the bottom right there.

While drawing this image I started to feel bad for poor Alphonse. He's all alone in the background there and hardly in the picture, so I thought I'd even the score and make him feel better by putting Granny Pinako in the background. The original artist for the manga Fullmetal Alchemist had many an illustration with tiny little Pinako Rockbell hiding somewhere in the background, barely seen except for her head. Of all the FMA characters, she was the only one shorter than Ed. XD

Also, when I colored this the first time I actually had to start over - which upset me 'cause I had LOVED the way Ed's hair had turned out - because I'd used MUCH to dark a color to do the shading under his arm. So frustrating! However, it is now finished and I'm pleased with it, so .... not too bad.

Anyway the instructions for this were to take a picture of it and post it to my gallery. The quality of the 'picture' though is not so great so at a later date I plan on scanning in the actual image. This one is a copy made at a local print shop because the group leaders at DA Resembool Rangers wanted it to look like a postcard, with a stamp and everything. So there we go.

At a later date I will post the original illustration which is literally 5.5x8 inches. I'll note the DA Resembool Ranger folks so they know it's done. That way my part will be done and all I'll have to do is mail this off to the gal in charge. It was fun to do. I am particularly proud of Ed. I had to reference images of the characters though mainly because I'm not used to drawing them. Their face shapes and eye shapes are different because of the different style of the artist but I enjoyed it.
