All she wants is to dance with you... until you're exhausted... and then drink your blood... surely you're not afraid?

The Baobhan Sith (pronounced baa'van shee) are beautiful faery creatures, who prey on young adventurers at night. They invite you to dance with them, and when you have danced yourself into utter exhaustion, they turn on you and feed on your blood. Mind you, they don't have fangs, they use their long sharp nails... Usually their hoofs (a sure giveaway) are hidden under their long diaphanous robes, but this one seems to have overlooked that.

One story of the Baobhan Sith tells of four young hunters, out travelling in the woods after dark, who met a group of beautiful young women who expressed a desire to dance with them. As they danced, one young man, sensing something awry, ran and hid amongst the horses. From where he had left his friends he heard terrible screams. One of the beautiful women followed him to the horses and cajoled him to come back and dance with her, but he would not leave the safety of the horses. Their iron-shod hooves saved him because like all faeries the Baobhan Sith cannot stand iron. In the morning, when the beautiful woman disappeared, the man went looking for his companions. He wound them dead, drained of blood.
