watercoloursTrying to imitate the style of the amazing ~puimun with those swirls in the background, and I learned so much about how I use watercolours in the process. I am loving painting to much at the moment, it is a time of lots of growth, every painting feels like I am learning so much! (the down side is that this means every time I finish a painting I immediately feel like I could have done better! but I guess that's what learning is all about, right?!)
My scanner washed this out a bit, so had to adjust contrast etc on the computer.
I need to work on this style of hair some more, I feel like it still has a way to go, but I like the direction it's heading in

I enjoy this piece. It is especially provocative, and I love the intensity of the colour scheme. The stoicism in her face allows for a plethora of emotion, and leaves the piece rather open-ended to interpretation. I also enjoy how her hair blends from her face into the background. My only critique is that her chest and collarbone are very 2 dimensional and don't line up correctly, but if you were going for a more akward approach to her person, then well done! Overall, excellent piece- I still absolutely love the expression on her face. Five four three two one.

I like the way you shaded the face with blue, try to apply the same techniqe on other things like the clothes and see how it looks c:

The colour scheme is absolutely gorgeous. I totally feel you about finishing a piece and feeling like it's not done to my liking, often I end up overworking it. This is really good!
