+ Bubbly | Mischievous | Caring | Inquisitive | Passionate
= Precocious | Over Imaginative | Thrill-Seeker | Epicurean
- High Maintenance | Socially Inept | Stubborn | Selectively Lazy
Lynet’s always been a bubbly and friendly girl, not particularly picky in activities she had to do or how she interacts with others. Instead, she throws herself into the few friendships she has, becoming very caring and doting. Not only that, but she’s very passionate about the things she likes and usually doesn’t hesitate to show it. Sometimes, this straight-forward trait of hers means she becomes quite mischievous, having always been somewhat of a precocious child.
She’s also very inquisitive and curious of the world around her, both before and after she became a spirit, having always loved mythology and fairytales, folklore and legends. Especially after becoming a spirit herself, it only somehow managed to intensify that passion, leading to her having somewhat of an over-active imagination. It’s because of this that she got into her current career of being a writer, filling her books with high fantasy like a hyperactive child. As a result, she’s a thrill seeker always looking forward to adventure, loving to explore and experience new things, directly leading to her becoming somewhat of an epicurean (though to be honest, it’s mainly because she’s a glutton).
All of this means she hardly pays attention to her own self though. She’s quite high-maintenance, requiring other people to look after her, otherwise she tends to self-neglect a lot. Since she gets very deep into her passions, she often forgets to do things she deems uninteresting and becomes very lazy about things that don’t catch her eye. Not only that, but she’s incredibly hard-headed and stubborn. Once she sets her mind on something, getting her to change her mind is like pulling teeth. Also, despite her positive traits, she finds it hard to integrate herself in groups, being too free-spirited and non-conforming. As a result, she’s a bit socially-inept, and stumbles her way through the process of making friends really awkwardly. Overall, she’s a bit of an oddball, but she tries her best to enjoy herself as much as possible, and to ensure that her loved ones do too.
• Biography:
Once upon a time, in a period before the curse began, there lived a young girl named Lynette. Born an ordinary human into a lower tier new aristocracy family, she was a middle child, often left to her own devices by her parents who mostly looked at their eldest heir and youngest son. Because of this, and their nouveaux riche status whilst in noble circles, Lynette had very few close friends her age to play with; in fact, she had just one. Yet, the bubbly red-head did not begrudge this fact, and cherished her friend most dearly. Until one day, as tragedy often struck the young in those times, her one friend passed away of illness and mal-medicinal practices.
Unable to cope with the loss, Lynette fled to the woods, having no one else to turn to grieve her lost friend. It is there she encountered, for the first time, a spirit that had always been told to her in stories late at night. Fascinated and awed, the young girl’s grief slowly ebbed and waned, settling into a dull ache that was soothed by the constant presence of her newfound companion and friend. Many years passed by like that, with Lynette bearing the label of an eccentric lady who frolicked in the woods. Many likened her to witch, furthering her isolation from society, but she didn’t mind. Receiving the care of her family, eventually Lynette built a small home in the woodlands and settled down there, never marrying or interacting much with the outside world. Instead, she only came out to peddle materials and medicines unique to the woods, even until her old age.
Finally, age came to claim her. As a simple human, Lynette had no way to continue to accompany the spirit who had stayed beside her for a lifetime. Because she had knew of this, the love she had always carried, had been bottled inside and tucked away. In her last moments, these intense feelings had gave birth to regret and a wish; a powerful wish. Upon her passing, the no longer youthful woman prayed to the goddess, to give her all to be able to stay with her loved one, to be reborn as a spirit who could live for a long time. Her presence had long since saturated into the woods around her, her love and care deeply entrenched. A wish so strong, it was granted as her very life bound itself upon the groves, seeped into leaves and branches, entangling with the earth and roots. Such a change took time, hundreds of years, until finally she took form, alighting once more upon the lands, but now changed in essence. As she took her first shaky steps amongst the lands she’d once dwelled, she renamed herself Lynet and set forth to find her loved one.
Yet to her surprise, during her change, the world had changed greatly. Humans no longer had the Sight, a curse stifled the lands and permeated her very being. Unable to find help amongst them, she drifted for a few decades, searching high and low for her missing companion and learning about the damage and long standing fight that was happening. Each excursion ended in failure and at times battles, no clues to be found after the time she’d passed, as if that spirit had ceased to exist. Not willing to give up hope, once Lynet found out about the spirit community that had been built, she decided to migrate there, in hopes to finally reunite with the one she lost. Finally, after many years, her search indeed came to an end; she finally reunited with the one she loved. But with a catch: Four truly was before her, but he’d become an Aevumi, a cursed human… and he didn’t remember who she was. Still, it was enough, more than enough. She’d sworn that this time, she would no longer have any regrets.
