Description Hey, listen!

Tsumami hair clips based on the fairies Navi, Tatl and Tael from the Legend of Zelda games Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. At least these won't shout at you every five minutes! I've been spending a lot of time playing Skyward Sword lately, I'm almost done with it, but I can't seem to get it out of my mind right now. As a result, I'm on a Zelda kick.

(Navi may be incredibly annoying, but she's still my favorite fairy for some odd reason.)

I might try for another photo of these sometime when I have better lighting. I can't pinpoint exactly why, but I don't really like this one very much. Perhaps it's the background.

I thought about making some dangles coming off the fairies at first, to imitate the little sparkly trails that always follow them in the game, but I decided it would be too much. If I ever find some small bells that make an actual pleasing bell sound instead of a dead rattling noise, (like the ones I have right now do) I might try to attach them.

More Zelda works now in progress: Hylian crest comb and kanzashi Loftwings!

ooohhhhh
do you have an etsy that you sell these at, they are very very pretty and cute!
And do you have a tutorial? I'm curious as to how they are made.

Thank you! I don't have an Etsy right now, although I've been thinking about opening one sometime in the future.

I haven't made a tutorial for these specifically, but they are made with a technique called tsumami, an origami-like method of folding fabric squares into petals That can be glued to a base to create flowers or other motifs. You can find several good tutorials the basics if you run a search for kanzashi or tsumami tutorial here on DeviantART. Once you know the basics of folding, making something like these clips is simple!

ooohhh thank you!
You should really consider getting an etsy asap! Many things you have snapped pictures of for your DA would sell well there!

I thought about making a few of these to sell, because they're small and easy enough to make, but I'd have to get an Etsy shop or something like that opened first.

Feel free to do so, but perhaps you'll be overwhelmed by many people's orders.
Btw, I'd like to follow your future works.

I suppose I would have to have a decent supply of them to begin with, then!

I'm really grateful that you would want to see more of my work, thank you so much!

Those are amazing!!!!
If you did a bundle of one colored fairy you can always add dangles without overpowering the clip.

Thank you! A whole group of fairies would be neat, but it would take me a long time to do. Thanks for the idea!

Oh my goodness, these are too cute! I love how you did their bodies in several layers of fabric, and their shiny wings.......I would wear them myself, but they would be absolutely adorable on a little girl as well

Adorable! I would definitely wear these. Love how you got Tael's weird coloring.

Thanks! It took a little thought to figure Tael out. I ended up brushing the ends of the petals with acrylic paint to get the right amount of red.

I use silver bells from India - you might be able to find some like these itty bitty bells at your local shops if you don't want to use Internets. They make a nice sound when hung in clusters of three to seven.

Thanks for the tip and link! I've only ever seen one type of bell small enough for kanzashi in my craft store, but I'll have a look at the site you linked to. Maybe I can find something there.
