This is a macro of a shed snake skin, I really like the light and dark and how it looks like some strange plant. This is lovely in it's shading and transition between sharp and fuzzy into the backlight. It's almost like looking at gemstones, but of course this is a skin. Just lovely abstraction!

I was worried it wouldn't turn out with the awkward lighting, I'm glad it did! Thank you very much for the comments, I wasn't sure about how fuzzy it got and if that should be cropped out because it was distracting or if I made a good contrast between that and the sharp.

I think the contrast between light and dark, sharp and soft focus areas, are what make this such and interesting study
