It is funny how I was so against IRAY and now gets more and more fascinated by it...ΒEven though I'm beginning to grasp the engine and all the different settings in the render tab I think I have to pause it for a bit and do some other styles. Rigging up the cartoon camera instead and will experiment a bit with that again.
But it is a nice feeling to not be afraid of the new stuff anymore
Oh. And as a resident of NZ summer IS coming! It's getting warmer, sunnier and exciting!Β

Yeah I started playing with iRay about a year ago, it's been a fascinating and sometimes frustrating exploration.
Oh yeah, and just about now up where I am in Minnesota USA we're hopefully solidly into "spring has sprung!"

I can understand wanting to try different styles for different images; it's YOUR own art style you are trying to express after all.
Me, I'm finding that after almost 13 years of using 3Delight it's a major change; and what drew me to making that change was all the amazing 3D iRay art I was seeing.

He, he... Sitting with the 4.10 beta and that keeps crashing on me as soon as I tryΒ to render anything in 3DL...
Don't know if it is me or the software, but I'm going back to 4.9 just in case
Fall is so beautiful. Unfortunately, where we are we don't get the colours of fall.
It gets a bit colder and darker, but it's nearly all evergreens around.
I miss that from Sweden. The veritable bonfire of autumn.

Well... It is a beta still, so... And 4.9 seems to work fine so I'll do that
However... I found that it is hard to "go back" to 3DL after sitting with IRAY. Especially when, in IRAY, you get to see immediately what it will look like in the viewport!Β
