I just wanted to make a symbol/banner/ensign for the Alien faction that'll be the focus of the (formerly Roman Alt Hist) 1942+ storyline. So I thought to myself, 'what's alien-ish?' Green and Purple. 'What are these aliens?' Well, they're composed of multiple species, but seem to fall into three main ones (plus bots, human cultist-allies, and hybrids) - the stereotypical Grays, a sort of Lizard-Dinosaur one, and a Insectoid bunch - so three. And that snowballs from there. 'Well now there's three of them, so what's a good way to show three species in relative union/harmony?'

And to add a twist on it, for their motivations; if it'll ever pop up, I decided to make them a Federation. Relatively nice and democratic - to each other. Maybe the Grays have the biggest, prime voice in it, but otherwise, that'll be a sort of turn you wouldn't expect from aliens coming down and abducting people, shooting down fighters, cutting up livestock - at least, at first glance.

So here's the flag of the (Stellar? Systems? Pending space-related adjective here) Federation, the three members (the diamonds) joined together (triangle), with the sharp edges smoothed down to look more futuristic-spacey.
