Description Its been SOOOO long since I did any traditional art!

I finished this piece a while ago but never actually got around to submitting it till now.

I played around with some abstract ideas this time. Kind of using both Lempicka (for the background) and my own signature waterdroplets to break up the image. (haha yes- i've decided that water droplets are my thing... i've used them in so many of my pieces... )

The patterns on the petal were added cuz one night the shadows from a vase of flowers were projecting onto the canvas and it looked really amazing! so i traced around the shadows and painted them in!

This piece is being displayed in a bar/restaurant. I did it specifically for the room its gunna be displayed in. I'm doing more pieces, including a second one to go with this, for the same bar. They don't believe in taking commissions from the artist for them to display their work, so its a great deal for me! free publicity!

Thank you to everyone whose continued to watch me and support me dispite my absence from dA for a while... Hopefully next year I'll have more time to do more pieces!

I have my interview for my digital art course on Thursday, so i'm busy trying to put together my full portfolio for that, but afterwards i'll submit all the pieces i put in that too

take care!

It looks really beautiful. I love it!! Congrats on the opportunity to hang your art in the restaurant too! I'm sure that's going to bring you some commissions in the future! Great painting!

It's still Calla, but the painting is beautiful, my dear. Very well done. What colour did you use? Is it acrylics? First I thought it was water-colours, but then I read about canvas ...
