Description Been a while since I did any matte painting, thought it about time to get some practice in ( and have a change from Poser stuff, which doesn't seem that great recently)

This was put together pretty quickly, working off a plate I found whilst perusing the stock images section at Deviantart. The link to the original plate is below:

My thanks to night-fate-stock for the photograph. The rest is a combination of various phot elements and a fair bit of painting in Photoshop.

It's not great, but not a bad effort to start me off I think.

Such a beautiful landscape! The composition is well done and the blending looks great too. The only critique I can come up with is the tree on the right side. Some of edges from the cutting out are shown. But overall, its a visual treat! Great Work!

Ooh, nice work. You did a great job blending it all together - I wouldn't even have guessed the stock part was separate if you hadn't pointed it out! I think my favourite part would have to be the colours and the way the light rolls out across the sky. Very cool.

Sorry about that...didn't select the full size option when I uploaded it. Corrected that now...It's 1500px wide (The original is 6K).
