Description The Hawking class starship, named after Stephen Hawking, was one of the most advanced starship classes of the earliest 25th century. The ship has an overall length of nearly 700 meters (698,2 m).
The USS Hawking NCC-81104, the class Prototype, was the at least fourth starship to bear the name Hawking, after a Oberth class, a Nebula class and a Merian class starship.

I really like the ship design, but because of the way it was positioned over the background elements I had a hard time seeing it for a couple of seconds.Ā  Might be better if the planets were flipped vertically, or offset from the ship a little more.Ā  Either way, I do like those asteroids and the lighting is great -- very modern Star Trek

Engineer: Reporting as ordered - er, I didn't know this was going to be a staff meeting.
Captain: Have a seat.
Engineer: Alright... (sits)
Captain: Go ahead.
Lieutenant: Thank you, sir. (ahem) Are you familiar with this console?
Engineer: Yeah, that's the primary communication officer's station on the bridge.
Lieutenant: How many times would you say you've personally performed maintenance on this station?
Engineer: Like, since I've been aboard? I don't know, twenty, thirty - oh.
Lieutenant: "Oh"?
Engineer: Uh - no, I mean, lots of other engineers from, uh, oh, various teams-
Captain: Did you or did you not install the Text-To-Speech device the computer automatically overlays over all our outgoing transmissions.
Engineer: (snicker) (cough) N-no?
Captain: (sigh) You do realize who Stephen Hawking, the namesake for our class of ship, was?
Engineer: Well, I mean, I, uh, I took history in the, the uh, the academy... I'm fired, aren't I.
Captain: Like a photon torpedo.

Merian class?

The Merian class is a science ship in the late 24th century. Basically a modern version of the Miranda class.
We saw (or better read) about these ship in the new Voyager novels. At least three Merian vessels were upgraded by the Full Circle Project of Starfleet with Transwarp engines to reach the Delta Quadrant.
One of the ship was also seen in the Ships of the Line Calendar. Here's a image: vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/sā€¦
