One the size difference between these two class there was a book which had the Enterprise D hiding in a D'diridex Cloak by sitting in the warbirds inner void area.

Two of my favorite kinds of ships. I always thought it was pretty clear from "The Neutral Zone" that the D'deridex is about twice the size of the Galaxy class.

Yes, we saw a couple of scenes in TNG where we see that the D'deridex is larger. But the producers never gave us a feel for this immense 1,3 kilometer long warbird. Maybe as reaction from the Enterprise Crew or such, that they face a behemoth.
But ok, the Warbird is either way a nice ship.

The Warbird is gorgeous, but I always thought the Galaxy class ship is ugly. The saucer is too big. It makes the ship lop-sided.
