REALISM!!! I know some of you guys don't really like it, but I dunno. it's interesting to do for me, and I think it actually does improve my skills. I don't like the face on this, ESPECIALLY on the computer, it looks like 3.5 times worse. I like the shirt the most, and look.. the hands aren't TOTAL crap, which I'm kind of down with.this was referenced from an obscured-stock photo... I love the pose. it's so.. sultry and get totally innocent at the same time. she's really pretty and has a great body to draw. also, a great nose. I notice people's noses quite often, and I think hers is great. it's very regal
.anyways, let me know what you think, love, hate. I'd love to hear your constructcrits, but don't just tell me the face is not good. cuz I know. (and I know the eye is too big...)

i love the lighting..it looks so realistic. i actually think the face is really well-drawn...but keep in mind i don't draw. but this is still absolutley amazing. i love the pose.

Hey, thanks for the comment on my gallery. This is looking good. A couple things though, as far as realism, never ever ever ever use an outline. It automatically makes it unrealistic. Also, some higher contrast would make it stand out more. Like have some really white whites and some really black blacks.

Awesome, superb shading. Love the detail on the shirt. Something gets me about the arm on the bottom, maybe cause it looks a little wigglely, but I dunno. Nice work.

o ma gawd, this is incredible. the shape is perfect and the proportions are spot on! I love the shading and the 3 dimensional effect it gives, its comparable to a B&W photo! You should be so proud of this

... wow, not many peope can make my jaw drop... you have such an amazing eye for details, I love the shadding of the hair, the ripples in her shirt and of the covers she's laying on. Beautiful. (looking at it though, her boob looks... not round enough? maybe? lol Hey, I'm an artist but still a guy, I call 'em like I sees 'em) Amazing work though

its a good attempt. try using fine, individual lines for shading in some areas. the anatomy is executed nicely.
i recommend "www.domai.com" (if u havent heard of it already....) for female figure references

crosshatching and such (I can't remember the other word that means non-crossing lines at the moment) is an aquired taste I think... a taste that I have NO plans to try to aquire as I think it makes my art look slightly... cheap. thanks for the input though.

Realism?! That's it, I'm jealous. I cannot do realism. It is my enemy. Especially for humans cuz they always (always!) end up at least partly anime style. As for animals.... they've always (always!...) got fur or feathers or scales..... takes forever, it does. I don't have any patience to do realism. *jealous*

You are really silly!! Sorry, don't tkae that as offensive. I really do love this piece, it is damn good. You really are good with pencils, but I really respect realism. The folds in the clothing, the shading, the whole art of it... erk.. Bad wording, is pretty much perfect. It does in fact look very realistic, and I really like it.

Don't down play this at all! This is most definiately your best work that I've seen. The face has a cool look on it, and I like the clothes she is wearing, kinda hot but not dirty. The covers look sweat as a rotting orange (I guess that's really sweet).
You must keep up this level of coolness, otherewise badness from zombies and comp blah cliches will emerege on you.
That is really good though.
