Description Many thanks once again to DARKRIDER 712 for the use of this outstanding source photo. This photo provided a great challenge as the articulation of the legs is most unusual. My hats off to her for catching this beautiful pose in mid stride

I love the textures on the body of the horse. They make it look as if it's made out of stone, but I've never seen a statue move like that!

Grass looks good in azure.

Thanks! I love your comment about it looking like stone -- you're right! How cool! And yes, grass is simply heavenly in azure!

Thanks, not pastels but Aquarelle Watercolor sticks. Really wonderful medium - can be translucent to opaque and very vibrant colors - extremely blendable - acts more like a paint when wet and a pastel/crayon while dry. I love them - they are my favorite medium right now and they come in about 100 colors. Plus! No chalk dust!!

I love how free your style is. I've always wished I could do this kind of stuff. But I take myself and the realisticness of my art way too seriously. So I'm limited in my creativity. You are truly gifted.

Thanks, Benny, this is the nicest complement, I truly thank you. My style actually emerged from rendering very realistic drawings in order to learn the anatomy well enough to improvise. Don't be afraid to "ruin" drawings for the sake of experimentation! !! If you ever want to talk art, or process, I am forever open!
