Description I'm still alive!

As I complained before, I haven't had much time for drawing this spring. The workload is slowly easing, though, and during this weekend I have actually had time to draw a bit.

So, have a little sketch of a newly described tyrannosaur. Qianzhousaurus, nicknamed the 'Pinocchio Rex', was found from a construction site in China. It has a quite graceful, long snout and surprisingly big eyes. It's apparently closely related to Alioramus, a similarly long-nosed tyrannosaur from Mongolia.

Looks almost delicate. Although, being related to the tyrannosaurs probably means it isn't^^

Yeah, you guessed right. My boyfriend made a 3D skull reconstruction of this critter based on the publication's photos. When the crushed skull's shape is corrected, the snout is actually surprisingly wide. So, it only looks delicate when viewed directly from the side like this.

I wonder how different the whole JP series woulda been if they discovered this guy first and used him as the mascot of their franchise instead xD

I love the feathery fuzz you gave it. It looks very birdlike and graceful this way
