Description First off, I would like to say this character does not have human proportions. He is an Eldar, and whilst they are outwardly very similar to humans, there are some marked differences.

Well, I say Eldar... He was once. He is on a different path these days. I was inspired by a character in Andy Chambers' Dark Eldar novels who crossed over to the dark side, as it were. It should hardly be surprising there is some movement between the two groups, given they used to be one race.

I hope you like him. This has been a long time in the making! I rendered the whole scene twice because I was not happy with a few elements... I am happy now!

This is a customised version of Aarki 's rune armour. I would highly recommend it. It is very versatile!

Great composition and lighting. Really love the sense of movement in this image. The flow is also
very good from the curve of the whip and his braids.

Thank you kindly! I tried to think about how each of the elements would/could be moving in relation to other things. The braids in particular took a long time to pose, but when I did a quicker job I was just not happy with the end result.

You're very welcome!
With a pose like this and the sense of movement you want to portray, there is no
hurrying it. If you try and do a rushed job, it doesn't look right.

It is hair for V4? Did it not work with auto-fit? Or did you not parenting it to G2's head ? (pssst, would you tell me your secret how you did it? I will not tell it further )

I think it was for V4, yes. Auto-fit is often rubbish with things like that because it destroys all the bones and then you cannot pose it. The secret is to manually pose it on the character's head, then just parent it (do not fit at all). It takes more time, of course, but it is the only way (I know) to get a good result.

I guess backward compatibility is more of a problem in DAZ than forward... I generally have no problem fitting previous-gen stuff to the G2s, but I have not really tried it in reverse.
