In May of 2001, the St. Louis Steam Train Association & the Frisco 1522 were invited to haul the BNSF Employee Appreciation Special between Missouri, Oklahoma, & Texas over BNSF Trackage. Assisting the Mountain is a BNSF H2 C44-9W throughout the trip until Fort Worth TX. On May 11, 2001, we caught the 1522 & the 16 car train outside of Springfield MO heading for Tulsa OK. Behind the camera's is a BNSF Z Train bound for St. Louis MO, the 1522's Home city.evangaines 2023
