Description
The date was May 18, 1974, one moth before the de-electrification of the Pacific Extension. Our first train is an Eastbound freight bound for Chicago. Leading the train is an EF4 Little Joe Electric assisting 2 SD40-2's, 1 SD45, & 1 SDL39. The Little Joe would be cut off in Avery ID & the diesels would continue towards Chicago. One month later, electric operations would cease, during the 1973 Oil Crisis.evangaines 2023
