brilliant! somehow i find myself resonating with this image, for me it captures a multitude of emotions relating to waters deep: oneness of all life, the fact that creatures below the surface have a mind - they are not objects, sadness for the loss of life and mind (environmental destruction of ocean life), willingness to fight - because we have to - not because we would like to, beauty in diversity of form..
i am an environmental activist and a sailor on the deep. i ask your permission to have this image - probably a bit simplified version of it in practice - inked on my skin.
thanks. respect.Β

Beautiful work. It would be nice to know the story behind it. Like why you gave her a "harlequin-esque" tear. I haven't seen one on a mermaid artwork before.

Sorry I've been busy recently. Thank u Β !!TheΒ "harlequin-esque" tear is a symbol of "sorrow" which someone had hurt my feelings and I had a broken heart. The reason why I cut out a mermaid is because my broken heart made me remind of the original Little Mermaid story. The mermaid turn into bubbles at the end and to keep me away from depression I cut the mermaid with a trident in hand which means that "my heart belongs to me and I can control it."
The purpose I did this work is sorrow but It also courage me in the same time. Β
