well. He isn't owned by penders. Fionna is, but not scourge. So they can still put him in the comic. Ian Flynn probably feels that scourge wouldn't fit into the story right now, what with the world shattering and sonic being in the spot light the most.

Eeeee Scourge is back! He's one of my favorite characters from the Archie comics, and I'm so glad he's in this story. Can't wait to see what's going to happen next!

Yah!!! Well, judging by the last few issues, Scourge will start fighting Sonic. Sonic will not know him (Obviously because he's not familiar with the Archie universe) and it will go to an epic battle, only by Sonic and Silver's confusion on how to deal with him. Second, I am still wondering about the other ghost..(The orange one from the last issue.) As far as the style, it's not plain. It still has depth and detail. I cannot wait to see how epic this battle goes, or how the back-story with Shadow and the rest of Team Dark goes. The true questionΒ is, how will Sonic react when he realizes that it is Scourge, from the special zone, and what will he do? And if he has questions for him?

I actually quite enjoy this colouring style. Practical and pleasing to the eyes. And Silver is absolutely adorable in the second panel!

I used to love the Sonic in the comics until about the reboot happened. He changed, and he doesn't really seem to care about his friends or anything as much anymore. 
But, yeah. Keep up the great work!!

In the comics, Sonic doesn't want to admit his weakness as he thinks that'd let his friends down or lead to him being taken out of the action-- I'm sure he'll face consequences for that soon.
