Description Name: (Unknown)
Nicknames: #31, 31, Dog, "'ey, you!", Mutie
Sex: Male (neutered)
Age: Unknown
Breed: Dalmatian
Rank: Scout, "The Misfits" division (Hokkaido pack, before leaving); Scout, The Rishiri Island division (Hokkaido pack, after leaving); Platoon Leader (Rishiri Island)
Affiliations: Hokkaido; Rishiri Island
Bio: A mute dog that many calls "a living sample of how cruel human can be whenever they want to". No one knows what his real name is, and instead everyone chose to call him by the numbers on his long-lost tag, and for the fact that the humans had often referred to him as such when Haku and his small group of dogs came to rescue him. 31 was only able to communicate with other dogs using body language, followed by a few grunts here and there.

Why the others called 31 something like that is pretty simple; he had his legs amputated and replaced with metallic ones (without any anesthesia), whereas his whole under jaw was removed and replaced with a steel jaw of titanium alloy, and his top fangs yanked out and replaced with razor-sharp fangs of the same material. Apparently, this was done to “help him(31) advance in his job”, whatever said job was. Also, two thirds of his sexual organ had been chopped off with what some think was just an ordinary razorblade by someone obviously unprofessional in the neutering department. The pain from it being chopped off still seemed to linger on, as he often started limping like he’d just been neutered by some ballsnatchers.

Because of this, some of the more insensitive members of the pack had come to see him as a monster, and the things given to him as “deformities” that could only be found outside of Hokkaido. However, 31 never let these words affect him emotionally, for he always went about his merry ways, despite the traumas he had to go through. According to him, whatever happened in the past, stays in the past, and shouldn’t be lingered on. Therefore, while still living with the horrible things done to him in the past, 31 preferred not to put so much thought into it.

31 was one of the many dogs that came along with Kamaz and the “Misfits” when they were sent to Rishiri Island, and despite his “deformities” proved to be a very valued member of the platoon. However, nobody knew what happened to him after the battle that eventually led to Kamaz's death. Some dogs, especially the elderly Ovcharka's successor Minka, had tried to find... only to come back empty-pawed in the end.

After many tries of trying to locate his whereabouts and his ultimate fate, he slowly stopped being mentioned, and ultimately, even some of the dogs well educated in the history of the Rishiri wild dogs' older days think that he didn't even exist, that he was just a made up character that was the result of many other dogs mixed together.

---

A character eventually forgotten by everyone but the author herself, to the point where he became just a bloody myth in comparison to Pugsley - a character that pretty much offered nothing but to scare the other dogs into thinking twice about crossing humans, but who for some reason is mentioned by some of these so-called historians as a separate figure.

Anyway, as you probably might've noticed, I've finally gotten down to finish the design for #31 here. I based his designs off of this lovely pooch: [link]

Doesn't he just look gorgeous?

Dalmatians are born white, but they always gain their spots after a week or so. The reason for why I'd waited with adding them was because I wasn't sure how to pull it off on the picture that I had back then. That, and I'd almost completely forgotten about it until you made me that early birthday gift.

Yeah, he's awesome. Too bad he's eventually forgotten about and made pretty much into a fictional character by some "historians" (if you could call them that). And besides, I think some of my characters really can learn a thing or two from this over how to deal with traumatising pasts. At least the ones that aren't completely broken anyway

That makes him more special then. If someone comes across him, they would show him as a Legend instead of some Mute dog. If I heard his stories, I'll be amazed too if I saw him.
