Part 4 of Childhood Heroes! Lets go to FernGully!!!

So I'm not really good at backgrounds but I figure since its a jungle, leaves and vines should do the trick! I think this is the first picture I did with so much green in it, (and green is not really my favorite color)
Ok so this is one of my childhood movies, I remember watching it, and enjoying some of the songs (not Batty's song, it was too silly!) and I remember how much I really like Crysta. Her design was a breathe of fresh air from Disney's Tinkle Bell. (No offense but I'm not a Tinkle bell fan, she annoys me) So I wanted Crysta to look cute and sexy and also mystical due her fairy powers. I really wish she had a song in the movie because the voice actor who played her sounded wonderful!
So while Crysta was my favorite character in the movie, Batty was my least favorite, so when I decided to include him in the pic, I took a more realistic bat approach rather then draw the exact cartoon design.
While the movie was very much about the Lorax's main moral which is save the trees and the forest, to be honest I don't care if it was preachy, the story was fun, the characters where interesting, Crysta was amazing, and omg Tim Curry as Hexxes?!!! He was able to make this movie memorable for me! (I just love that song "Toxic Love")
So I'm very proud of this pic. Crysta looks like herself, Batty is less cartoony and I just love how I pull off Crysta's transparent fairy wings!!!
