Description Anyone who knows me would be surprised to see I decided to upload this. The net is well-known for swapping "OH NEAT" art and then using it for their own purposes.. but I decided to let this one go finally. -shrug-

This *was* to be my back tattoo design, from spine to shoulders. I've now decided against it, but think it's still a nice design. If anyone does decide to use it, please let me know! I'd love to see it inked on someone. Send me a note or message!

It's the Heartless emblem from Kingdom Hearts, only.. slightly modified. You can find the inspiration for this design from the first game, inside the chapel area where you fight Maleficent's dragon form. Go into first-person mode and look up around the walls. You'll find a gold Heartless emblem largely resembling this here design.

Have fun.

OMG...this is perfect for what I want...we named our first daughter Kairi and I've been looking for something that would have meaning for me that not many people would know about...if you don't mind, I would love to use this. I would possibly add to it to symbolize my other daughter, but I absolutely love this!!!

Awesome! What are you getting where?

I've got three tattoos now.. I wouldn't really call any of them painful. I've had worse pain with certain piercings heh..

i'm getting angel wings of my own unique design, i suppose you could say. and i'm going to have them on my back. you know...somewhat on the shoulder blades like real wings? only they won't be too big but not too small, either. i'm getting them because they represent many things in my life.

piercings too? awesome! i've only my nose done and double piercings on my ears, along with two other ones on my left ear. i'll be getting my belly button done most likely early summer.

ps - i'm so scared of the pain though, it's horrible...haha.

Aww, tattoos just feel like a persistent scratch. I had an old tattoo on my chest covered up (too much emotional baggage with the original) and got a small one on each hip. The hip tattoos really tickled! I kept wanting to knee-jerk kick my friend in the face as he worked haha.. I need to get some touch-ups done.. but unfortunately my finaces don't look too hot (cosplay + part-time job don't help much..)

I've had quite a few piercings to date.. though I've taken out some and they've closed back up. Nose and nipple rings are now gone.. the latter I had for years. Just four earrings and a naval ring. The belly ring is nice! Be aware that they can be trouble healing up.

Angel wings eh? I've considered getting wings before. I had a back piece tattoo design aside from this one I had been debating getting for a few years now.. but been afraid to. It was actually just a single wing though.. and maybe one or two people would really know what it meant. Maybe one day.

heh, thanks for the comforting! i hope i'll be fine...it's just, and not too "brag" or whatever, but i'm rather small so it could be more painful for me. i suppose i'll find out! and aw, i'm sorry to hear that a tattoo caused you emotional pain. mine only reflects on myself, as egotistical as that may sound, but it's so that it won't cause the same effect as what happened to you. but yes, the finaces...God help the economy. i can't wait for it to be summer so i'll be able to pick up more hours.

ah, yes...i've heard multiple times of troubles involving the belly ring. but my friend at work had hers done a while back and it's coming along well. so i'll just copy her cleaning processes? heh. [:

do you still have the design of the tattoo? it'd be lovely to see what you had in mind. but i won't steal it, promise! oh, and speaking of which, i'll even show you the results of my tattoo when i get it done, if you'd like.

exailious In reply to sofearless [2010-05-12 00:28:53 +0000 UTC]

Of course~ I'm sure you'll be fine.. All pain is just temporary anyways, right? I'm not too big either really.. No fat on me! heh.. And yeah, it's good to have tattoos that reflect on yourself. My new chest piece is a mantra of sorts: [link]

It's a stylized Heart Chakra.. Anahata. Just a reminder that love myself, love life, and don't learn to rely on others, and things will be just alright.

The problem I had with my belly ring is that it was a barbell.. and when I would sit down, the top of the barbell would stick out and I'd inevitably bang it on something, reopening my wound. I switched it out to a ring and slapped a big bandaid on it and it healed up just fine after that <3

I do have the tattoo design, though admittedly I show it to no one heh. I haven't quite pinned down what it means to me. It's important to be sure, but I think I may have to change it around to make it completely my own one of these days. I just find myself looking at it now and then.

I'd love to see the work you get done!~ I love tattoos

what a beautiful tattoo! i can't imagine how much it cost though...but still, very lovely.

and yes, i'll most likely protect my belly ring with a band-aid or something to make sure i don't accidentally rip it out considering how reckless i can be. but i'm hopeful now that yours has healed!

ah, that's understandable. i won't beg or plead, since it's none of my business. i can understand that some things are just...private and meaningful.

alright, i'll be sure to have my friend take a picture! her and her dad will be taking me considering her dad has known the guy who will be doing my tattoo for almost twenty years and can get me a discount. so i'm rather pleased at this point. <3

exailious In reply to sofearless [2010-05-12 00:41:26 +0000 UTC]

It didn't cost me too much.. I know the tattoo artist so he doesn't gouge me too bad. I also had a full-time job at the point that I got it, so money wasn't an issue (God, how I wish it were like that now )

Reckless, eh? heh.. yeah, I recommend a bandaid then At least watch how you carry things like big boxes. DO NOT rest it on your belly.. It really hurts if it gets caught while healing

Eh, no worries. I'm just weird about things, but yes, it's meaningful -nod-

Yay~ It's good to know people who do good work. Some say the body is a temple to be left pristine and protected.. I say if it's a temple then I may as well add some decorations to liven the place up

Have you the design drawn up? Was it something you did or have someone do for you?

sofearless In reply to exailious [2010-05-12 00:47:25 +0000 UTC]

ah, that's good then. [: knowing people can go a long way when it comes to wanting things, i suppose? heh.

haha, thanks for the warning! i will most likely be snapping at people for the next few months not to touch me...i'm a rather paranoid person!

no one at this point has drawn me the design...i asked this girl at work who draws very well, but she has more hours than me at the moment...issues with her car, which is understandable so i'd rather not stress her out even more. but hopefully i'll get something done...i'm not much of an artist, only a writer unfortunately.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

exailious In reply to sofearless [2010-05-12 01:04:26 +0000 UTC]

Unfortunately? Writing is just as much an art! I had so many problems writing in school. I'd get terribly frustrated when trying to put words down on paper. Some persons' choice of expression is just different is all. You're writing is good! (I read them all once you messaged, heh..)

I'm none too good at drawing wings myself.. I have a bit of a wing sketch that eventually led to my other design, but it'd far from perfect. I was actually going to have a tattoo artist redesign it in similar shape at some point.. [link]

I like the layout of the wing but the details are lacking.. I used to be an illustrator of sorts, but let things and people get in the way. Don't find myself picking up a pencil much anymore :/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sofearless In reply to exailious [2010-05-12 01:25:14 +0000 UTC]

aw, thanks so much! that truly means a lot to me. i am aware that writing is an art as well. however, it just doesn't get very noticed such as photography and drawings and whatnot. but still popular nonetheless. <3

oh! that's beautiful! i planned on having my wings be some what spread outrather than in. i guess it's the whole "taking flight" deal within my life at the moment.

you should really pick up that pencil more often! i'd love to view artwork from you. you really shouldn't let unimportant things and people get in the way and block you from what you do best. i sometimes still do that, but music inspires me...as do my friends. <3 don't let that happen, okay?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

exailious In reply to sofearless [2010-05-12 01:37:05 +0000 UTC]

I was going to do outspread wings connected to my Heart Chakra design.. or at least I had considered it. Either pheonix wings or scarab wings.. both symbolizing rebirth. [link] Was a design I had photoshopped real quick forever ago but I just couldn't get a good match to the strong bold lines of my chest piece.. so I tossed the idea. The inspiration came from the FF9 summon for Pheonix [link] Colors have become a strong influence in my life as you can see heh.. Some confuse it for 'gay-pride' symbolizing which it isn't (but I do SUPPORT!)

Taking flight.. At your age, that's great! Sounds like things are going well.. or at the very least you've a positive outlook. It's always good to have a positive mantra.

Perhaps I just need more encouraging friends, eh? I seem to have a knack for losing people over time I am accepting all applicants ^__~

i can honestly say that there's probably no better inspiration for a tattoo than Final Fantasy. that's just flat out amazing! and yes, along with you, i support gay pride as well! i have so many bi friends(okay, most likely acquaintances) that i've no problem with them and they're all so nice.

yes, i've become more positive throughout the years, which i must say i'm very proud about. [:

i believe losing close ones and just people in general over time is just the way life is. all those people were there for a reason, to help you comprehend life itself or perhaps, even yourself. i've noticed that those people have helped me realize so many things and have helped me so much. they've made me stronger and they're the reason i'm part of who i am today. <3 don't worry, i believe you'll find true friends! <3

ah, it's almost ten. i should probably head into the shower right about now...and cram for a psychology test tomorrow, heh. it's been very wonderful talking with you! i'll be looking forward to speaking with you again. (:

Yes, I agree.. that we are the sum of our parts. Every person is just another piece of the whole. For good or bad is another story altogether, but each of significance. The 'butterfly effect' if you will. The flapping wings of the butterfly become a hurricane of change. Friends and enemies alike have forged who we are.

As far as my true friends, I know well who they are. Though they are not many, they've always stuck with me no matter -nod-

Yes, it was wonderful talking with you as well. Good luck with your test! I never much cared for psychology but I did ace it in college heh..

I'm always around. Message me whenever!

haha, thanks! i'll at least get a somewhat decent score, i believe. and good for you! getting A's have been my obsession this past year..ha. [:

alright, i'll keep that in mind!
talk to you soon. ^^

With your butterfly icon, I had to make the reference since it reminded me

Yup.. Only problem is I don't live very close to any of my friends I only see them on cons mostly. I've got Colossalcon next month though.. so there's that to keep in touch -nod-

I hope your test went well! Nothing wrong with wanting to do well heh.. I didn't fare too well in High School.. but I graduated college with honors. I pushed really hard there at the end.. -nodnod- I'm thinking about going back to school, but for what I haven't decided. Career didn't quite pan out as expected

Yupper, talk to you soon.. though if 10pm is your limit, there'll be nights I'm not on until wayyyyy later heh. Very much a night owl anymore ^__^;

Well, it depends on the person. My mom said she barely felt any of her tattoos get done. Me? I almost cried with the Heartless. The one above it I didn't feel at all, of course.
And the only piercings I have are my lip and ears. I want my monroe done badly, though. ;_;

I got my jumblies done in the middle of winter a couple years ago.. Nothing like fresh piercings when you step outside into the cold..

Dad has tattoos all over and it didn't phase him at all either. Everyone's pain tolerance is different though heh..

What's keeping you from getting your monroe?

Danibella-Muerte In reply to exailious [2009-11-27 23:13:41 +0000 UTC]

Well, it was my job but now that I have no job... I might go ahead and get it. Though I'm not sure how it would affect future job possibilities since people still aren't very tolerant of facial piercings. *sigh*
I can't wait until I open up my own bakery when I can. Nobody can tell me what my face can look like.

exailious In reply to Danibella-Muerte [2009-11-28 02:00:35 +0000 UTC]

Go for it! ^__^

At any rate, if you get it now and let it heal, you can get a clear retainer. Also, my friend Crow has snake bites and he's had them long enough to take them out for an eight hour shift and not have to worry about it growing back. Just a thought.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Danibella-Muerte In reply to exailious [2009-11-28 03:56:40 +0000 UTC]

well I've taken my labret out for an overnight and it didn't close, so I'm not worried about that. Retainers are easy enough to obtain. So probably when I get my next tattoo, I'll set my Monroe appt.

I have a favour to ask of you.
I'm considering getting a tattoo and I really like this design, but I'm looking for something a little smaller, like for my shoulder or the inside of my elbow.
I want it to KH based but slightly emo too *Giggles*

Now, you mean something smaller as in not as long as this piece?

Preferably.
I work in an office, and we cannot have tattoos on show, so it would have to be small, no longer or wider than say 10cm either really.
