Beautifully done. The snow's texture, the way it reveals rocks, and the way it has clung to, or joined frost formed on, the main character are spot on. There's a certain feeling to these remote, desolate wastes, and to working or living there that is difficult to capture. You've done it here--with everything from the quality of light to the body language of the bex here. Evocative, and produces a real sense of kinship with this bex.

I'm flattered you like it so much, but I like keeping my art in my gallery or my blog, I'm sorry. Plus, your paleoart is great, I'd love to see a dragon piece from you

Oh...it's okay then. A dragon from me...hmmm...wonder now...I have pretty much sworn to carry on with Mesozoic life though, but I'll let you know if I draw an azhdarchid pterosaur or something!

pretty cool- those huts somewhat remind me of the skin-and-bone huts that I'd imagine neanderthals would've used.

Yeah, I figure it's a pretty basic shape for a temporary hut.

I have to say, I am really jealous/impressed (jealpressed?) at the fogginess in this scene. I always struggle with that kind of atmospheric condition, myself.

The little antennae poking out from the hood out are a great little detail, too.

I use a lot of references, atmosphere is super hard to get right. I struggle with it all the time.

They probably get frosty haha, I figure they're usually tucked up inside the hood...but I wanted to put them where you could see them for this picture.

Oh I know the feeling too well. Hell, I went to art school in the prairies for the snow (I'm from the coast, so I figured to be 'truly canadian' i had to live somewhere cold).

Sometimes I want to go to the desert for a bit and get away from all the rain, though I'd probably just shrivel up and die of the world's worst sunburn if I did. I think most western Washington residents are at least a quarter salamander.
