Oh! It is very intersting design! For me it looks like a shark without teeth, but, mey be, it has it a lot in the mouth, who knows?)

i like the kind of thin and slightly wrinkled skin texture of the underbelly and leg joints. im also not quite as familiar with the Bex world's fauna's biology but im just wondering why they have more than two eyes (or what i may be misunderstanding as eyes when they are something completely different). like im quite familiar with exobiology and can understand the advantage of giving a life form a multitude a visual sensors but im wondering if the second pair are for seeing different light like infrared or UV light?

Lots of animals have different number of eyes on Earth too, or strange set ups! Consider the flounder for instance. Also, the Bex world is meant to have a bit more of an arthropod/mammal hybrid feel. The Bex actually have 4 eyes, all used for sight, but they evolved to use the largest pair for their main vision while their smaller pair are almost becoming vestigial. I have to do more work on the Bex's design, so it may be changing slightly.

oh ok i understand! and i have to give you a hand for the amount of thought you give towards your project to think of vestigial organs and such!Β and just wondering, is bex the name of the planet or the race on the planet?

I like the fuzz. Interesting that while the body is very alien, the legs seem to be pretty tetrapod-standard. Convergence?

I think about leg types and body types a lot and what would be most efficient, I think the standard tetrapod set up is something we could easily find in extraterrestrial animals. I try and take that approach and see how different I can make in look without it being outlandish or just adding an extra set of legs to make something look "alien."Β

It makes sense as an approach.

Out of curiosity, how does this beautiful, antennaed animal breath?

I am cracking up at all these table references, it totally does look like a shark bug table. I love it.
