Reworked design of Despero for my Elseworld Universe.

Despero in this Elseworld is a world conquering alien dictator who uses his vast mental hypnotic/ telepathic abilities and superhuman physical prowess to attain his goals. Giving him an even more sinister advantage is his use of the alien starfish entities that are know as “the Star Conquerors” due to their ability to mind control any lifeforms they are placed upon. Despero through the use of his third eye's hypnotic powers was able to gain control of the prime Star Conqueror, thus placing the entire drone collective under his control.

Despero is the alien threat responsible for the formation of the Justice League in this Elseworld, when he and his mind controlled army of White Martians and various mind controlled alien “lieutenants” from other conquered worlds come to Earth in order to make it the next world in his already large collection of worlds under his control after the long struggle he undertook in taking control of Mars. The united heroes who would go on to be the Justice League were able to defeat Despero and his mind controlled army due to the combined scientific knowledge and formidable mental abilities of Martian scientist J'onn J'onnz , who had escaped from his homeworld of Mars and came to Earth years earlier when Despero first arrived on Mars and had used his time on Earth to devise a way to break Despero's control over the Star Conqueror entities diminishing his power.

Despero was able to re-establish his control over the Star Conqueror entities after his defeat on Earth and has gone on to subjugate other worlds, but not without further encounters with the Justice League or one of their alien allies who have knowledge of breaking his Star Conqueror control to stop his attempts at conquest.
