Description This is my submission for 's Vampire contest . I had this idea floating around for a while but Amber's gorgeous stock and theme brought it to life!

I also painted that little ole spider myself, looking at outside resources! I am so proud. Painting had never been my strong suit.

I thought the pun for the title was cute. But that's just me.

Thanks to the stockers:
for vampiress
for brushes

I thought this one looked really cool, too. You did a very good job on the spider, because, I thought it was from a real picture. I don't know where the bite came from, but that was also well done, in my opinion. It really blends into the skin. Also, the splotches around the eyes are a nicely added touch. It'd be cool to know how to do! *hint hint*

Aw shucks you've just made my day!
I am so proud of the spider; using the tablet for actual painting is not really my strong suit. The bite came from a photo of the back of my hand; vicious, but all in the name of art... hehe.
The splotches around the eyes are a cheap trick using the scattering option in the photoshop brushes palette, but the best thing was Melanie Delon's lovely brushes to start off with. I just played with the settings in the brush palette til I was satisfied with its random-ness, painted them over the eye area in a new layer, then changed the blending mode and masked any bits that didn't quite seem right.
Thanks for looking. Like I said, it really brightened my day.

About how long did this take you to make, anyway? >.> I'm not good with time, but it looks like it took you a while by the way the detail looks.

I'm pretty hazy with time, I get into the zone and then it turns out that hours have passed, then i leave it unfinished for ages while I do assignments... If I had to guess I'd say I spent about... 5 hours? ish? I don't know though, it could have been much longer.
