- also known as Pi Yao

- they live in solitude most of their live and only meet together to mate. female normally only give birth to one or two cubs

- both male the female has the unique hair tuff behind their ears. females have two tuff which makes her ears looks bigger. it is possible she used it to tell her cubs were she is. males normally have one big tuff instead of two, possible used to look bigger towards other males.

- the darker stripes on their body can vary from animal to animal.

- they have an uncanny ability to find gold and cobber. it is unknown why, but the Pixiu a have been seen eat small amount of gold or cobber. many gold diggers follow the Pixiu to collect the gold and then leave artificial gold(made out of cheap metal there looks like gold) which the Pixiu doesn't looks like it mind eating instead of the cold.

- unfortunate, many gold digger will shoot to kill a Pixiu to get to its gold sources. they think it is 'better' for all that they just kill the Pixiu than to wait until it go away by itself since they don't guard the gold.
