Aaaah I love getting new drawing software. 
And wow! I really like this drawing software. The default brushes work very nicely for me, and unlike sai, it has a text tool! No more exporting to Gimp just to add text! XD
Anyway, I don't think I've shared this with you guys, but I'm a fan of the Shantae games. (though I've only beaten... like, one, despite owning them all. >w> hehe) I really loved all the designs
for her transformations in half-genie hero, and thought "Hey! I gotta draw that!" So tada~! Here it is. I actually drew this in December, but decided to wait and post it in the new year to kick things off.
I'm pretty happy with the results, though I think I could've taken more time and added texture to the tail. ;w; I also tried to draw it in more of the style of the game. Don't know how well i did with that. XD
I did end up changing a few things, though - mostly adding the shell top and the style of her arm fins. ;w; I couldn't get the actual ones to look right so I improvised.

i have beaten this Game some Days ago... let me tell ya that the last Part was pretty annoying to slide again... i diden't like the Sliding Parts at al
But Mermaid Shantae is truly beautiful. I really really loved her. Plus also the Item for her was great. But it's very stupid you can't change Forms under Water or in Air.

You drew her so well! I gotta get Half Genie Hero but my current comp just can't handle any kinds of games, it lagged so much just playing a simple small 2D sidescroller, let alone one with 3D environments and lots of stuff on screen. Ahhh I want T^T I've only beaten Risky's Revenge and Pirate's Curse, I have the first one but didn't get very far in it- XD

Omg saaame, the first one is very difficult. XD I did beat Risky's revenge, and almost beat pirates curse too, but I got stuck on a certain part. :U I've technically beaten 1.2 genie hero too, but I'm still working on the DLC storylines.

Yeeees it's so hard I think I only made it past the first dungeon, now I'm lost and can't even make it back to town cause I keep dying trying to get there XD
Pirate's Curse is soooooo good, it's my favorite so far. I'll get Half Genie Hero as soon as I get a better computer
What's the DLC story like?

Well so far, the DLC stories are pretty much playing through the regular one only as different characters. I've been fighting the same bosses, levels, etc.
Which is kind of a bummer, because I was expecting, like, whole different level to play. ;D; still fun tho.

Ohhh that kinda sucks. They could at least have a unique level for each character. But at least it's still fun. Does Risky play like Shantae did in Pirate's Curse? Like with all her pirate gear? She's in the DLC right? just checking XD

Oh yeah! You do get to play has Risky with her guns and all her gear. That one is pretty fun!
Plus I'm pretty sure you get to fight Shantae, but not sure... I haven't gotten that far yet. :'D

Looks great to me, comparing to the kickstarter picture it's pretty spot on (minus the couple things you changed). Not being knowledgeable about art programs is it uncommon for them to not have a text tool?
