He makes bastardism look sexy for sure, even though I am not a big fan of him. But he must be given the credit.

Even though I am not fond of Mirkwood elves, even I have to admit that Thranduil's evil smirk is a gorgeous one.

I have no idea what's all about (I mean in the real movie), but dam I just love so much Thranduil's smirk in the very last picture!!!
I hope they didn't make him as mean as that in the last movie... Right?

Yeah, well saw the movie two days ago (Yay!), and I loved how they didn't just used Tauriel as a love interest, but, as I hoped, a key element to make Thranduil realize that Dwarves are as worthy as Elves. So I think they made his character well, even in his stubbornness (which is not as different as Thorin,s own stubbornness against Elves; they were both two proud kings).

Yes, they are both headstrong. However, Thorin tends to be more humble.

Totally... Now we see why Leggie doesn't have expressions. He is a blank face.

Thranduil can pass as evil in one first glance! His eyes and then eyebrows... Is that the matter?

But i wouldn't want him hugging me either (strange sight)
Legolas walks in to him hugging me, his eyes get really big. "WTF Ada!" Thranduil drops me and brushes himself off, "Legolas I can explain!" Legolas runs off with Thranduil chasing after him. I stand there dumbstruck, "What just happened? Thranduil hugged me?! 😳

Poor Thranduil, so easily recast as the villain … must be something about the cheekbones!

Haha! Oh gosh! Thranduil is evil! Loving family indeed!!
That actually explains a lot! He should actually thank Kili for making Tauriel fall in love with him and pull her attention from Legolas, which was never there to begin with.

AMEN to that! And yes, Legolas comes from a "loving" family of jerks. Thrandie is EEEEEVIL beyond measure.

He's a high class sociopath. That's what he is. Thank goodness Legolas was able to break away from him and overcome his dwarf racism in LOTR.
